NOTE: Each resource below requires a username and password for home access. See Mrs. Dodge in the library for a brochure that contains this access information. Providing such information on this site would be a violation of PGCPS agreements with database vendors. 

Use this database often to complete any assignment from now until you graduate! Newspaper articles, magazines articles, primary sources, government documents, and websites on a wide variety of topics.

  • Today's News (bottom right of site) for minute by minute current events
  • SIRS Decades, i.e. find out what it was like in the 1930's

EBSCO "hosts"  a variety of databases, such as the History Reference Center, Science Reference Center, Student Research Center, and more!



Special Features: 

  • MasterFile Premier contains business and education databases as well as peer-reviewed journal articles
  • Student Research Center includes biographies, primary sources, newspaper articles, photos, maps, and flags. 

This database is the best resource to find information on the background, people, lifestyle, and customs/courtesies of over 200 foreign countries as well as each State in the U.S.

  • For each country: photo gallery, video gallery, interviews with citizens, slideshows, recipes

Access The Washington Times newspaper online just as it appears in print. This is a great resource for current event articles.

school daily and can be found in front of the Main Office.

Note: To access these databases from home, you will need to have your PGCMLS public library card number which is located on the back of your public library card. If you don't have one, ask your parents if they have a public library card, or see Ms. French in the
library for an application. It's FREE!
